It was perfect! With that upheaval of energy, it had gotten Xian’s attention and hoping someone afar had gotten their attention as well. Now that the stage was set the spar could begin. Xian stood in the tree with the rays of moonlight shining through it separating her and her opponent. It was life a veil between as she stared down to the Shinigami.
”Very well…now, we begin.”
She had done just that as the sound of static had ripped through the air and she was upon the ground. She didn’t release her own blade since she didn’t want to distort it’s beautiful form to show her ugly side. It was terrifying, her awakening for it was. She rather fight while retaining her beauty and she called for just that as she attacked her opponent blade flying forward with a quick lunge as her little body sailed with hang time during her swing. She struck like an armed dove in a way.

Her answer was her eyes. Now seeing, now understanding... they were attuned to the fight.
'Striking in the same way... is she?' She watched Xian's movements as she dove to strike her, and swiftly jumped at an angle- clear of the path that Xian was heading to strike her. Xian's sword was only inches away before she jumped clear of it. She landed a few feet away from Xian in a moment, as the moonlight cast shadows from them that melted in and out and back and forth around them, and as the wind caressed the trees' delicate leaves all around them in a peaceful swaying breeze...
"Because my Zanpakuto is electrically based, I can move much quicker in my Shikai form. If you wish to hit me, you must move faster... much faster."
She watched Xian, waiting to see what she would do next...

”She‘s like a bird freely sailing away….but when will she bare her talons at me?”
That was the question Xian had ran through her mind as she watched the shinigami constantly dodge her attacks to the point that she started to realize that she most likely wasn’t intending to fight…or was she? Those talons, were they hiding, or were they there at all to begin with? Xian was becoming annoyed. This girl would die here whether her small plan went through or not. Speaking of which…
A small distant reitsu approaching? Yes…it was coming into fruition.
She had to use a little more time as the presence had closed in from afar. Surely she would be able to at least attack this girl head on and thus see if her power was even there. What she probably didn’t realize was Xian was a speedy time as well. All her movements were all grace and beauty and no burden.
She had stood tall as her eyes closed for a slight second. Her Zanpaktou lifted to her view letting the blade slide across and reflect her closed eyes. Eventually they opened showing that red color, but something else. A two more rings of red coursing in the sea of white in her eyes. It almost seemed like her vision was distorted or that horrid look of blood shot when someone waken up. Her image still there, but the wind coursing strongly as if sweeping around the battlefield.
With that instant, she was behind her opponent while her image in front of the Shinigami had finally faded leaving only a flurry of black and white feathers trailing from there to around her opponent where they seeped from the girl’s pants. Her eyes till having that crazed look and widened screaming as loud as the victims she would slaughter in her true form. This wasn’t true however. She hid that form for the sake of her not showing an ugly side of herself. She only used a percentile of her strength to get behind her opponent and make her point…that being…
”Some things…can‘t be avoided. Eventually, they‘ll catch up to us, and we‘ll lose something dear.”
Her whispers were sweet and soft unlike that crazed look and the tendrils of her hair that were wildly blowing in the winds from her quick movement as they were so strong indicating how quick she just moved. With that said at the last word and the period to end it, she aimed for her opponent’s right shoulder with a quick and decisive slash with her eyes showing the full intention to spill blood...but strangely enough...only to the point to make her opponent helpless and not dead.

As she watched Xian's eyes become suddenly different, she braced herself, as she used her reiatsu to stay aware by concentrating it around her. 'What is this she's doi-?'
Before she could think anymore, Xian was already behind her.
With a surprised and hastened reaction, she snapped around as her hair flew in the wind and stopped Xian's blade with her own blade just as Xian's blade pierced the skin of her right shoulder, causing blood to trickle out onto her skin and the blade. The wind swirled around both of them because of their fast movements, and it was almost like time had slowed down in these next moments. Almost stunned by this sudden speed of hers, and having a small wound on her shoulder, she had to...
Let go.
"...Zutanju no... Shikari!"
The blade instantly glowed a flashing white and released a large silver-white thunderbolt directly at Xian...

Xian’s eyes filled with madness had caught glimpse of the light as it engulfed her vision. She expected much since her opponent mentioned electricity, but even if so, that doesn’t mean she was faster than lightning, but just as fast would have to do. With all her grace, she had jerked to the right in a swift movement fired at her only leaving droplets of blood in her place as they drizzled along where she once stood.
”Barely made it…”
Xian had said as she stood on a distant tree branch. Her right arm dripping with blood soaking through her clothes while she stared at her opponent as if she admitted her swift move had caused this damage to her. She had breathed a simple deep breath almost as if she was sighing. She was tired, but yet it didn’t show since she resisted on her last movement to completely resurrect her form and used a simple technique based on it.
She was running out of options.
It seemed like what she was waiting for wouldn’t come and if she wanted to let this fight seem like her intention to kill this Shinigami, she would have to stop holding back and exercise her powers. Her expression returned and remained to that careless emotionless one, but it was clear she had another face besides this one after her last attack. She was hoping she wouldn’t have to show that face again, but now as said before…
She was running out of options.
”A worthy foe.”
She had lifted her blade centering it to her face. She had turned it as it seemed to divide between her scarlet blood eyes before her hair started to raise in a wicked manner from an even more wicked wind. Her expression changing as her mouth whispered words, but they almost seemed like her teeth was bearing fangs at that the moment.
”Resurre-”
”Hold it!”
A voice crying out had ripped through the air instantly stopping the girl from taking on her forbidden form. She was relieved in reality, she thought herself to be really ugly whenever she did. Her eyes laying on the figure who the cry had came from. It was nothing more than another Shinigami who now gazed down at the battle from a high perch seeing the friendly force nearby as well as herself as Xian’s saddened and hopeless red eyes had entangled with his own. It sent a chill down his spine.
”Wh-what?! You are…”
The Arrancer was satisfied, but not anymore. Out of all Shinigami that would come to this girl’s said, it had to be one that she was familiar with, but that familiarity had long faded as for their reunion to learn what they have both become. She could feel by the minute that even her after life had some difficulties that didn’t let memories remain just that. She turned her back from the high view right shoulder facing that Shinigami she locked blades with.
”Don‘t look for me.”
With that small whisper that carried through the wind surely for the girl to hear, and probably meant for the boy as well, she had vanished in a quick movement as she had been lost to their sights, but her foot movement had carried throughout the forest with an echo as she fled the scene. She wasn’t going to stick around enough for them to figure out why she was attacking, it was best left to think what it appeared to be on the surface: She was an Arrancar, she attacked because their natures called for it, and she didn’t use the battle to attract any attention so that this girl wouldn’t be questioned of why she was with Xian’s kind.
Yes, the surface always seemed to be a good thing to look at things from, even if the truth was easier and claming at times.
This left only the male Shinigami to lowly crouch down as his blonde hair that was clipped at it’s tail with a rose burette had blown softly in the wind that swept through the trees. He seemed bothered by the Arrancar’s presence, but didn’t last long as he leapt down from his perch as he stood from across where the fellow Shinigami stood. His legs bending upon impact before he stood up completely and caught a breath from the high jump.
”Are you okay?”
He had asked as he slowly approached the girl before stopping midway and observing her to see if she had any wounds. Her lying about them wouldn’t do much for them right now as the young male had already set his eyes on them and twisted his lips into a frown.

Watching Xian jump from right next to her up to the tree, she sighed inside.
'This is what you asked for... I'm not going to kill you, nor am I going to go any further with my power...' She looked up at Xian's bloody arm, and soon had a saddened expression on her face.
'We can battle, but I don't intend for any lives to be lost in this spar.'
She watched as Xian's face once again turned calm, and then watched with surprise as she was about to release her true form...
'H... Her final form?! How am I supposed to manage-'
She looked up and saw the Shinigami whose reiatsu she hadn't even noticed because of her focus on the battle. She observed the immediate reaction of the Arrancar, the surprise of the new Shinigami...
'It's almost like... they know each other...?'
She heard the Arrancar's words as the Arrancar fled, and she wanted to chase after her to talk, but for some reason, she didn't. She figured that the Arrancar should be let go, because she is wounded, plus there is another Shinigami here now... It would not be good for her if she was followed. She was already grateful for what the Arrancar did for her, and she was returning the favor by following the Arrancar's words... and letting her go.
Noticing the Shinigami, she looked down and thought about what had just happened before looking back up and replying to his question about her injuries.
"I'm alright, it's just that...."
She noticed the frown on his face as he looked at her wound.
"... I only have a small wound on my shoulder. It's nothing serious."
Strangely, she was glad inside that there was another Shinigami here now. It went against her usual nature of wishing to be alone, but then again, she was saved from a possibly fatal battle with an Arrancar's Resurrection form by the appearance of this Shinigami. It was also relieving that he was around the same age as she was... although she was not sure why about that, either.

”Even if it‘s minor as you say, that injury is something I can‘t ignore.”
His shoulder hunched to toss the pack he had strapped to his back in view. It’s supplies filled with some recovery items and devices to deal with recovery in battle. A minor wound could cause problems if one isn’t careful, even if it’s in a spiritual form. He had picked this up from experience which is why he came prepared. His right arm extending out slightly as his expression had was modest.
”As a seated member of Squad Four, it would be an insult to you if I don‘t at least take consideration of your injuries. Besides…with the way that twisted reitsu had risen before, I was surprised to get here to find you have only one wound. You are very lucky! I would know as I‘m Squad Four‘s Xeon Hubaru!””
His introduction filled with pride towards what he does.
True, he had experienced the pressure from spiritual beings, but he wasn’t one to engage in battle. Though this time the pressure was different. It was one from an Arrancar which he had never experienced before and on top of that, this one took on the form of someone with a familiar face. It had brought him to thinking again at that slight moment, but he cared not to stay focused on the thought of that strange creature.
It was near impossible.
That creature that was once someone he knew had inflicted damage to a person was unthinkable to him. It made him almost forget in an instant that he was tending to heal her wounds, but he didn’t let it show as he awaited for a reply. Seeing someone after a long time in a new way would rock someone’s foundation, even if it was just someone as big or small as Xeon.

"A seated member of Squad Four? Ahh, I see. I hadn't really been fighting much up until just a few minutes ago... so the true battle had only just started when you came... thank you."
Her face slowly returned from a hardened look to a softened one.
"My name is Sapphire, and I am the 7th seat of Squad Ten. Nice to meet you."
She walked up and shook his extended hand, wondering what this Shinigami's personality was like.
In the back of her mind, the events that had happened just moments ago replayed like a broken record in her mind. The Zutanju attack. Xian fleeing to a tree branch. Xian nearly releasing her Resurrection form only to be halted dead in her tracks by a previously unknown Shinigami, now known as Xeon. Xian and Xeon's expressions towards each other as Xian fled the area...
She pondered over this, as she thought about what was going to happen next, now that she has found another Shinigami in this so called Paradise....

”…and you as well! ”
He returned her pleasing words with a nod of his head before placing his hands back to his side. He ignored the wound for now since this wasn’t the proper place to heal it. Still this Shinigami to belong to a squad meant she probably most likely belonged amongst them. It had only been recent that the squad members and some of their captains who arrived had been enraptured in gates leading to this Paradise, but it was confusing most likely how this happened in the first place.
”It‘s only fortunate that you‘ve arrived in this part of the woods. The Fortress is not far from here!”
He had said with a smile as he turned around smiling to the young girl.
”It was a good thing that the reitsu your battle had given off had signaled you were here as well, but I didn‘t expect an Arrancar to be anywhere in this place.”
Odd, but yet, he didn’t want to fall back into thought over it. Gazing one last time towards the distant clear where Xian had traveled down and vanished into the shadows, he was filled with a bit of concern, but also quizzing himself to why she was so hostile, and so close to a Shinigami strong hold. She must’ve sensed them nearby after all.
”If I can‘t heal your wounds here, then I should at least do so at the fortress.. It‘s not safe in these woods.”
Xeon had said as his eyes adverted from the path finally as he stepped to the tree’s edge looking into the distance where he had arrived from. It was obvious enough the base of operations was ahead.
”Umm, are you okay to travel?” he had asked still concerned about her injuries.

She watched him and noted his personality.
"The Fortress? ... "
"Me either... I was surprised at first, too. I had never seen an Arrancar before, and already, one has appeared here..."
She watched him as he gazed across to where Xian fled off to, and couldn't help but replay the events in her mind that she had experienced... all the things that Xian had taught her, in such a short time... she was grateful. Very grateful. Who knows what would have happened, had someone unlike Xian appeared... she didn't want to ponder about that much. She returned her focus to the present situation...
"Alright then..."
"Yes, I can travel...it's alright. My wound isn't very serious." As she said this, her thoughts went back to the injury, and she felt it slightly throb as the blood was still flowing a bit from the wound. She passed it off as nothing serious, because she had surely seen things much worse than the medium small gash she now had in her shoulder. She reverted her thoughts from the wound to the "Fortress" that Xeon was talking about, in order to forget about her wound...

He had turned letting his look on the girl last even as he slightly peered over his shoulder. His concern was clear enough. He had already lost men from his division he was leading, and now he wasn’t sure if he could lead this girl to the fortress. He only prayed silently in his mind that he could without her being hurt or injured further, or worse…like his other men, her death.
It had been recent that he made it here himself and he already is doing poorly in his assignment to locate Soi Fon, the second division captain. He knew so far that she was around in this strange realm, but where was a mystery. His heart weighed decisions heavily: find Soi Fon to guarantee someone’s safety, or perhaps escort this girl for her own safety. Both lives were precious, but even more precious was the Arrancar that he’d saw escape.
He was trapped in a web of worry and woe.
He swallowed deeply before he kicked off and flew through the air in an intense speed with a phasing from his flash steps.
”Hmm…Sato-san. I‘ll find Soi Fon while protecting other innocent lives. I hope you‘re okay.”
He set his mind on his objectives…the lives…all of them. Maybe the situation wasn't as grim as he thought it would be.
