A little fox-girl kaibutsu poked at the small fire she made with a little stick, stirring the cinders around and rotated her little sweet potato she was cooking over the small flame.
Her innocent red eyes glanced over to Karu as he slept in his knocked out state and smiled to herself as she continued cooking the sweet potato, flicking her little fluffy tail happily.
She was clothed in a traditional kimono similiar to that of Yuzuki's: white with red trimmings and some gold here and there. Her short, silvery spikey hair went every which way, as if she never had time to brush it and just barely reach her shoulders.
When the sweet potato was near finished, the little girl scooted close to Karu and gently shook his shoulders to try and stir him "Karu, it's time to wake up."

Karu was awake, it seemed. He just lay there, pondering over his brother's sudden attack over that bitch Yuzuki. Feeling Miyako shake his shoulders, though, one eye opened and a small smile crawled onto his muzzle. "So, it seems you're still saving my tail after all, Miyako-chan..." the dog beast murmured, standing up, feeling the pleasantly disturbing cracking of his spine as he stretched. Shaking out his fur, he sat down. "You're too kind..."
Seeing the sweet potato over the flame, the dog beast leaned down, prodding the embers with one paw. Despite the fact that he was all furry, the flames didn't burn him as he stirred the flame a bit more, making the fire flare up a bit more and a shower of sparks fly skyward before fading into the night sky.
"You may want to take that off now..." he said tenderly. "Any more and it may burn...or explode..."
For some reason, just the thought of a sweet potato exploding made him chuckle.

Miyako skittered over to the sweet potato and pulled it off from the stick and tossed it back and forth in her little hands cutely, and layed it down on a leaf, splitting it in half and plopping down on her bottom and holding out the other half to Karu.
"Karu-niichan is always getting in trouble. Miyako has to do something so Karu-niichan stays safe," she explained, referring to herself in the third person as most little children do sometimes.
Her big red eyes gave a little shimmer of mischief, as if she didn't keep herself entertained by keeping Karu in check, she'd be doing something equally mischevious and tricky.
Cutely, she bit into her sweet potato and gave a whimper, sticking her tongue out and giving another whimper "Too hot, too hot.." Retracting her tongue, she chewed and swallowed the tiny bitten off piece and made a pouty little face as she set her half down in her lap with a sweet little frown.

"You need to blow in it first to cool it, Miyako-chan!" Karu said softly, laughing silently to himself. The huge doglike beast leaned over and gently blew on the little fox girl's steaming sweet potato, cooling it down for her.
"There. It shouldn't be so hot now..." he said, smiling. Turning back to his, Karu did likewise to his own half and took a tentative bite. It was certainly very good...
"You're a very good cook, Miyako-chan..." Karu said softly with a (not very) full mouth. "Much better than Haru..." Laughing, the dog beast swallowed the bite he had taken and grinned. "If it weren't for you, I'd most certainly be dead by now!"

Miyako gave a tiny, cute laugh that was a mixture between a giggle and a hiccup and tilted her head, big red eyes glittering before the fire "Miyako has to make sure Karu-niichan has good food. Haru-sama doesn't like my cooking. Miyako thinks he'd rather eat trees than Miyako's cooking."
She made a scowering face , using her hands to push her cheeks together to help create a face that tried to resemble Haru's face of disgust.. though she couldn't hold it for long as she burst into a tiny fit of giggles.
"Miyako can go get more to feed Karu-niichan?" the little fox kaibutsu said with a big smile, tiny, fluffy tail wagging adorably.

Karu gave a snort of laughter at Miyako's portrayal of Haru's face of disgust. "I think you got it pretty good. Although, secretly," the three-headed canine's voice lowered, "He's actually jealous of how good your cooking is. He just wishes he could cook as good as you..."
The dogbeast shook his three heads, smiling. "That's okay, Miyako-chan. I've already had something to eat... Besides, you should rest." Turning partially on his side, Haru reached over and patted the ground beside him. "Come and sit, Miyako-chan." Looking up, the three-headed dog could see the night sky above him, and smiled. "The stars are beautiful..."

Miyako giggled sweetly as she was told her cooking was better than Haru's. Sure, she respected the noble-like kaibutsu.. but she was a fox by instinct, so she had to make fun of something in secret..
She blinked, tilting her head to the side as she was told to rest. And as if on cue, she yawned and stretched, rubbing her eye "But Miyako isn't sleepy.."
She stood and walked over to Karu, laying down and cuddling into his fuzzy warmth, resting her head atop one of his paws, looking up at the stars almost sadly ".. Yuzuki-neechan must be out with Haru-sama..?"

"He must be," the dogbeast growled, almost as if he didn't want to think about his elder brother or the fox woman. "I wouldn't think he'd be anywhere else..." Shaking his head, he looked back up at the stars, then back down to the ground. "It seems he prefers her over me now... I never thought--" He stopped, realizing that Miyako had lay down on one of his massive paws. Smiling, the dog Kaibutsu curled up, his body seeming to form a protective ring around the little fox girl. "It's said the best food makes even the most energetic creatures sleepy..." he murmured, smiling. "That must mean your cooking is the best in the entire world!" The two outer heads yawned, and when their jaws closed, the center head's maw then opened, revealing his pearly white fangs.
"Ah well... I suppose I won't go after Haru unless he comes after me..." he growled softly before closing his eyes. He was still awake, but he just wanted to rest his eyes for a while.
Besides, he had to be on his guard. For little Miyako's sake...

Fidgeting just alittle as she adjusted herself into Karu's soft warmth, Miyako blinke dher big red eyes slowly as they started to feel heavy, as if she were trying to stay awake so desperately "Karu-niichan.. I had a nightmare last night.. I saw this.. pretty lady.. with a white tiger.. She seemed so pretty.. yet.. she scared me.. She had black hair.. and scary eyes.."
Miyako fussed a little, and curled into a little ball as sleep overtook the tiny thing.
It must've been a very bad nightmare if Miyako wasn't speaking in her usual third-person. A very bad nightmare indeed..

"Kurakouhi..." Karu growled. He knew of the woman she was speaking of. That whoring succubus wouldn't get her hands on little Miyako if she even tried.
"Don't worry, Miyako-chan..." the big dog creature whispered, leaning down and licking the little fox girl. "I won't let her hurt you... I won't let her get anywhere near you..." Smiling, the dogbeast moved his tail so it covered Miyako like a blanket as she drifted off into slumber.
"Dammit..." the dogbeast snarled softly. "What do you want with her, Kurakouhi...? Just leave us alone and go off with your little man harem..."

Miyako shifted once she was fully asleep and whimpered occasionally. Apparently she was having another nightmare it seemed..
Miyako looked around, shivering as she looked around in the total black darkness of her dream, "K.. Karu-niichan! .. Karu-niichan! .. Karu!"
She whimpered softly as she walked, holding herself as her big red eyes glanced around "Miyako didn't do anything wrong.. Miyako is innocent.. Miyako would never hurt anybody.."
The voices were both accusational and pitiful, both crying for help, and accusing her of one thing or another.
Miyako fell to her knees and folded her big, cream-colored ears over with her tiny palms, whimpering at the voices until she screamed.

Karu, who had long fallen asleep, was, too, having a nightmare. And, as it seemed, his was much worse than Miyako's.
Karu stood tall, allowing the sharp, pointed stones hurled at him to cut his face and body. He did nothing to stop them. Why? Because, through the shouting, jeering crowds of Kaibutsu, he could see little Miyako in the back, watching him with scared red eyes.
"Confess for what you've done!" someone in the crowd shouted, followed by roars of 'Confess!' and 'Just give up!'
"I have done nothing," the dogbeast spoke with surprising calm (so much that it even somewhat startled Karu in his sleep), "I do not deserve to be like this."
The roars in the crowd only got louder, and the size of the rocks pelting him only grew larger.
"I said I haven't done anything!" Karu snarled. "I didn't do it! I--"
"Enough!"
The cool voice of his brother reached his ears.
"Haru-sama... I--"
"Kill him." Another voice, this one softer, more feminine, more seductive, reached him.
There, standing side by side, were his brother, and Kurakouhi, the Queen of Eternal Darkness.
"My dear Haru-san..." Kurakouhi spoke, her golden eyes turning to the handsome demon kaibutsu. "Would you have the honors of executing this abomination?"
Karu could just barely see it through the tears, but...his brother smiled. A red-bladed katana formed in his right hand. As he approached his brother, he saw no hint of sympathy, none of concern, none of the brotherly love he showed so many times before.
"Of course, my queen..."

It seemed that Miyako's dream was now entering into Karu's.. as if the two were combining with the closeness of how they were sleeping.
Miyako blinked a couple of times as her own blackness faded, and the images of Karu, Kurakouhi, Haru and faceless Kaibutsu appeared. She blinked once more, as her tears shed down her face and stared outwards at Karu, who didn't look all that good with rocks being thrown at him.
When Kurakouhi spoke, Miyako turned to Haru, eyes wide with fear "No! Haru-sama can't hurt Karu-niichan!! They're brothers!" She pushed through the kaibutsu and stood before Karu, holding onto one of his outer heads tenderly, glaring at the rest of the kaibutsu, but yet beneath her braveness in her eyes was a deep-seated fear. She was trembling ever so gently from it.
"You.. you all are meanies!" she shouted, voice breaking, half-angry, mostly scared, but all brave. She really couldn't have done much more.. She was terrified, and her water-tricks only got her so far for protection..

Karu let out a small snarl in his sleep and, unconsciously, snuggled closer to Miyako, almost if he were protecting her.
"Miyako-chan...please..." Karu murmured pleadingly to Miyako. "Get back. I don't want them hurting you, too..."
"No," Kurakouhi spoke, approaching the dogbeast (who snarled as she came closer) and the little kitsune girl. Leaning down, the Queen of Eternal Darkness ran one hand across Miyako's soft cheek, then gently patted it. "If you want to protect your 'Karu-niichan' so badly, why not die for him?"
"Stop it!" Karu snarled, leaping at Kurakouhi, fangs bared and claws glinting in the moonlight.
Suddenly, he and Shiromaru were locked in a battle. Dogbeast and Tiger were struggling with one another, biting, clawing, tearing, ripping. Blood soaked the ground at Kurakouhi and Haru's feet.
"Fine. Kill each other, then. As long as you are dead..."
Suddenly, Kurakouhi turned to Miyako. "Now, what to do with you, little one..."

Miyako whimpered softly and tightened her little hands around Karu's furry tail gently, eyebrows upturning in fear in her sleep.
Miyako looked up at Kurakouhi, trembling up the gentle caress which held so much power and deadliness behind it, eyes widening even more as she spoke, only clinging to Karu a little tighter in effort to show she wanted to protect her closest friend.. but she released Karu when he snapped forward at her and jumped back in instinct.
She took a coupel step sforward, crying out for them to stop, tears welling her eyes. She bit her bototm lip, albeit cute, but sad.
The little silver-haired fox-girl turned toward Kurakouhi's voice as she spoke, taking a couple steps away, but stumbling and scrambling backwards, whispering to herself ".. Yu.. Yuzuki-neesan..? Where are you..? Karu-niichan.. help.. me.."
As if on cue, or summoned through the will alone of little Miyako, a lithe, firey hand grasped Kurakouhi's, nails perfectly manicured, filed to a tip like a claw, pale, perfect skin, "You will not touch my sister, Kurakouhi. You will burn to death before you lay a finger on her."
The angry, glaring, slitted-green eyes were staring right at the Queen of Eternal Darkness, Yuzuki clenched her hand around Kurakouhi's wrist tightly, igniting her own palm in white-hot, purple flames, the hottest Yuzuki was able to create.
Miyako's eyes widened "Oneesan!" The little foxgirl sat where she was, staring up at her sister and the cat-like kaibutsu her fox-sister was grasping the wrist of, her hands leaking small puddles of water, slowly regaining her composure and bravery.
She turned to Shiromaru and Karu, launching a large ball of water at them, figuring cats don't like water all that much and that should drive Shiromaru away from her beloved and closest friend, Karu.
